Test Equipment Engineer

About the role

Micron Technology seeks a Test Equipment Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of its test systems used in memory and storage production. The role focuses on maintaining equipment uptime, driving continuous improvement, and supporting production escalations.

Key responsibilities

• Own test equipment uptime, OEE, MTBF, and MTTR metrics and drive rapid recovery of testers, handlers, SLT, burn‑in, and motherboard test systems.
• Analyze recurring failures, implement permanent corrective actions, and provide engineering support for critical tool downtime.
• Lead installation, qualification, and release of new test equipment, executing IQ/OQ/PQ, characterization, and validation activities.
• Identify throughput bottlenecks, optimize tester utilization, and reduce cycle time to improve yield.
• Collaborate with Process, NPI, Manufacturing, Quality, and Supplier teams, leveraging AI and AI Assistant technologies for predictive analytics and automated troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Experience in equipment reliability, production support, and lifecycle management.
• Proven ability to qualify and validate test equipment (IQ/OQ/PQ).
• Background in process and yield improvement, including bottleneck analysis and cycle‑time reduction.
• Strong collaboration skills with cross‑functional engineering teams.
