Territory Manager – Energy Solutions (Kolkata)

About the role

Hitachi Energy is seeking a Territory Manager to lead sales and marketing of its full portfolio across West Bengal, Bihar and Jharkhand. Based in Kolkata, you will drive business growth, manage key accounts and develop new channel partners.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets for the complete Hitachi Energy portfolio in the assigned territory.
• Develop and maintain relationships with major customers across industries, utilities, EPCs, distributors, OEMs and emerging channels.
• Promote current and upcoming product lines, providing technical specifications and solutions.
• Identify, appoint and support channel partners in underserved areas.
• Monitor order execution, coordinate with project teams and ensure timely delivery.
• Manage receivables and collect payments according to forecasts.
• Maintain accurate data in Salesforce (SFDC) and SAP, generating regular MIS reports.
• Address customer complaints promptly and uphold safety, quality and integrity standards.
• Organise and participate in technical seminars, presentations and exhibitions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 12‑16 years of experience in sales, account management or related fields.
• Proven track record in MV/HV switchgear, grid automation or similar energy solutions.
• Strong communication skills, customer‑focused attitude and ability to travel within the territory.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) and the local language.
