Telephone Operator (Male) – Amaravati

About the role

The Telephone Operator will manage the university’s incoming and outgoing calls, providing prompt, courteous, and accurate communication to students, staff, faculty, visitors, and external callers.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and route calls to the appropriate departments, offices, or individuals using the university’s switchboard system.
• Provide accurate information about university services, office hours, events, and campus resources.
• Handle emergency calls according to established protocols and notify relevant campus authorities.
• Maintain call logs and document inquiries or issues as required.
• Assist with directory updates to keep contact information current.
• Support administrative tasks such as data entry, email documentation, and updating communication systems.
• Report technical issues with telephone or communication equipment to IT support.

Required profile

• Any degree qualification.
• Male candidates only (as specified in the posting).
• Strong verbal communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to follow emergency and escalation procedures.
