Technical Trainer – Computer Science & Java

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Technical Trainer to deliver high‑quality lectures and hands‑on labs in Computer Science fundamentals and Java programming. The ideal candidate combines solid technical expertise with a genuine passion for teaching, helping learners build both practical coding skills and conceptual understanding.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver structured lectures, training sessions and labs on core Computer Science topics.
• Teach Java programming, covering object‑oriented concepts, data structures, algorithms and problem‑solving techniques.
• Develop and maintain course materials, assignments, coding exercises and assessments aligned with learning objectives.
• Conduct live coding sessions, review learner code and provide constructive feedback.
• Design and evaluate tests, projects and other assessments to measure progress.
• Mentor learners individually, adapting delivery to different skill levels.
• Keep curriculum up‑to‑date with industry practices, tools and emerging technologies.
• Track and report attendance, performance and progress to the L&D lead.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of proven experience in teaching, lecturing or corporate training in programming.
• Strong knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals, including programming logic, data structures, algorithms and OOP.
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Organisational ability to manage curriculum, schedules and assessments.

Required skills

• Java programming and scripting.
• Object‑oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
• Data structures and algorithms.
• JavaScript, Python or SQL (preferred).
• Basic understanding of web technologies, databases and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
