Team Leader / Senior Highway Engineer

About the role

Lead and manage highway development projects, providing technical direction and overseeing construction supervision, project preparation and operation & maintenance activities for major 4/6/8‑lane highways in Uttar Pradesh.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall technical leadership and coordinate all phases of highway projects, acting as the primary interface with clients, contractors and consultants.
• Supervise construction and Independent Engineer services, ensuring compliance with designs, specifications, quality, safety and environmental standards.
• Prepare and review detailed project reports, feasibility studies, engineering designs, estimates and tender documents for major highway schemes.
• Monitor project schedules, identify risks, and implement corrective actions to keep projects on track.
• Lead operation and maintenance planning, performance monitoring and road‑safety compliance for completed highways.

Required profile

• Graduate in Civil Engineering with at least 12 years of experience in highway projects.
• Minimum 5 years experience as Team Leader/Project Manager on construction supervision and project preparation of 4/6/8‑lane highways.
• Proven experience in operation & maintenance of major highway assets.
• Medical fitness certificate if age > 60 years.

Required skills

• Highway alignment, pavement, geometric and drainage design.
• Structural design of bridges and related highway structures.
• Road safety and traffic management planning.
• Construction supervision and Independent Engineer methodologies.
• Project preparation including DPRs, feasibility studies, cost estimates and tender documentation.
• Operation & maintenance planning and performance monitoring.
• Quality control, environmental, health and safety compliance.
