Team Lead, Research Integrity Screening

About the role

Springer Nature is seeking a Team Lead for Research Integrity Screening to oversee the pre‑publication assessment of manuscript submissions. The role is pivotal in ensuring that all research published under the Springer Nature portfolio meets the highest standards of integrity and ethical compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse submissions flagged by the Screening Hub technology, applying rigorous scientific evaluation and manuscript‑assessment strategies.
• Validate integrity concerns, differentiate false positives, and make high‑quality decisions on whether to retain or remove flags.
• Conduct detailed manuscript reviews, determine if concerns can be remediated by authors, and coordinate follow‑up actions.
• Collaborate with internal editorial teams and external publication partners to communicate findings and recommendations clearly.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of screening workflows, tools, and training materials.

Required profile

• Strong background in scientific evaluation and research integrity.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify subtle issues in research data and methodology.
