Taxation Specialist – GST, TDS & Income Tax (Immediate Joiner)

About the role

Transcon Freight Systems is seeking a full‑time Taxation Specialist to join its Mumbai finance team within seven days. The role focuses on GST, TDS and Income Tax compliance for a logistics and freight operations environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file GST and TDS returns on time, ensuring accurate reconciliation of ledgers.
• Calculate income tax liabilities, support tax audits and prepare statutory documentation.
• Review financial transactions for tax implications and implement tax planning strategies in line with current regulations.
• Respond to notices or queries from tax authorities and maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of Indian tax laws.
• Collaborate with internal finance teams and external consultants to improve taxation processes.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in tax planning and preparation, specifically GST, TDS and Income Tax.
• Solid understanding of Indian tax regulations affecting logistics and freight operations.
• Good finance fundamentals, including accounting entries, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and risk identification.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related field; CA/CS/ICWA or similar certification is a plus.
