Tax Specialist – GST & Direct Tax

About the role

We are looking for a Tax Specialist to join our Chennai office and support clients on GST and direct tax matters. You will work on litigation, refunds and compliance, gaining exposure to both advisory and practical tax work.

Key responsibilities

• Draft replies to GST notices, prepare appeals and represent clients before tax authorities.
• Manage end‑to‑end GST refund applications.
• Ensure timely filing of GST returns (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, GSTR‑9/9C, etc.).
• Handle income‑tax compliance, including returns, TDS and advance tax.
• Support accounting and financial reporting for client engagements.

Required profile

• CA semi‑qualified (CA Inter/IPCC) or minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in GST, income tax and accounting.
• Strong working knowledge of GST law and its practical application.
• Well‑versed in accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Detail‑oriented, deadline‑driven and eager to develop professionally.
