Tax Consultant – Indirect Tax (Pune)

About the role

EY is seeking a Tax Consultant to join its Indirect Tax team in Pune. The role involves delivering tax compliance and advisory services to clients, ensuring engagements are executed efficiently and to the highest professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file individual tax returns and e‑TDS returns for clients.
• Draft submissions and represent clients before tax authorities.
• Advise on outbound/inbound structuring, immigration and provident‑fund matters for expatriates.
• Collaborate with team members to improve performance and share knowledge.
• Use electronic working papers and EY tools to conduct research and produce accurate tax deliverables.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to EY methodologies and professional standards.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 0‑1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with good numerical ability.
• Enthusiastic self‑starter and effective team player.
