Tax Consultant – Indirect Tax & Global Trade (Mumbai)

About the role

EY is seeking a Tax Consultant to join its Indirect Tax and Global Trade team in Mumbai. You will support client engagements by delivering tax compliance and advisory services, ensuring high‑quality outcomes and adherence to deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file individual tax returns and e‑TDS returns for clients.
• Draft submissions and represent clients before tax authorities.
• Advise on outbound and inbound structuring related to employee mobility, including immigration and provident‑fund considerations for expatriates.
• Collaborate with senior tax professionals to deliver comprehensive tax solutions and maintain electronic working papers.
• Analyze data, produce accurate tax advisory/compliance deliverables, and ensure timely completion.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information and uphold professional standards.

Required profile

• Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 0‑1 year of relevant experience.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Analytical mindset with solid numerical abilities.
• Enthusiastic self‑starter and effective team player.
