Tax Associate – Entry Level US Tax Role

About the role

Weaver India, LLP is looking for talented US Tax professionals at the Associate level to join our growing firm. This entry‑level role is ideal for fresh graduates seeking hands‑on exposure to US tax compliance and a strong foundation in federal and state taxation while working closely with experienced tax professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of US Federal and State tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.
• Collect, organize, and review client data and supporting tax documents.
• Prepare workpapers and ensure proper documentation for tax filings.
• Perform basic tax research and apply US tax regulations under supervision.
• Work with tax preparation software and internal systems accurately.
• Meet assigned deadlines while maintaining firm quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve data discrepancies and client queries.
• Adapt in a deadline‑driven environment and align with US firm and client time zones, including availability during late evenings and weekends in India.
• Flexibility to work extended hours during critical delivery timelines and peak periods.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of US taxation concepts (academic or training exposure preferred).
• Strong analytical and attention‑to‑detail skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and accounting fundamentals.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
