Tax Associate / Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Tax Associate/Analyst to join our finance team in Chennai. The role focuses on preparing and reviewing US federal, state, and local tax returns while supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review US federal, state, and local tax returns.
• Assist with corporate income tax, sales & use tax, franchise tax, and property tax filings.
• Ensure timely submission of tax returns in line with statutory deadlines.
• Prepare tax provisions, supporting schedules, and related work‑papers.
• Reconcile tax‑related general ledger accounts and support closing activities.
• Analyze tax accounts, investigate discrepancies, and perform quality reviews.
• Identify process‑improvement opportunities and support automation initiatives.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in US tax compliance.
• Strong knowledge of corporate tax, sales & use tax, and withholding tax.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
