Tax Analyst – Remote Contractor – $9/hr

About the role

We are looking for a Tax Analyst to join our remote team on a short‑term contract. You will work closely with our AI development group to create, evaluate, and improve tax‑related workflows and scenarios.

Key responsibilities

• Create tax workflow prompts and realistic tax‑return scenarios for AI training.
• Evaluate AI‑generated tax reasoning, calculations, and compliance workflows.
• Identify edge cases such as deduction errors, apportionment issues, and ASC 740 miscalculations.
• Build expert rubrics and structured reasoning traces for AI evaluation.
• Review and assess AI‑generated outputs related to tax preparation and compliance.
• Contribute to enhancing AI systems' understanding of tax regulations.

Required profile

• Strong experience in individual, business, or corporate tax.
• Familiarity with TurboTax, ProConnect, GoSystem Tax RS, and/or ONE SOURCE.
• Solid knowledge of U.S. tax law and GAAP fundamentals.
• Excellent written communication and analytical skills.
• CPA or EA certification strongly preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to evaluate complex tax scenarios.
