Tax Accountant – International Tax Team

About the role

Argus is seeking an ambitious Tax Accountant to join its growing international tax team in Mumbai. You will work closely with the Head of International Tax, handling a variety of indirect tax compliance tasks and gaining exposure to global tax issues.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare international indirect tax returns (VAT, GST, US Sales & Use tax).
• Conduct analysis for corporation tax purposes and manage withholding tax administration.
• Draft responses to customer tax queries.
• Handle accounts payable tax administration and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Research and administer e‑invoicing processes.
• Support the Head of International Tax with ad‑hoc projects.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant with at least 2 years of experience in indirect taxes.
• Experience in a tax team of a large international organisation is preferred.
• High level of accuracy and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Proactive attitude with a focus on process improvement.
• Strong ownership and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels.
