About the role
Ci4 is building autonomous platforms for maritime and land domains and needs a hands‑on Systems Administrator to design, set up, and run the company’s IT infrastructure. This is a core technical role, not a help‑desk position, responsible for the entire IT environment supporting an engineering‑heavy team.
Key responsibilities
- Set up, configure and maintain in‑house servers (OS installation, patching, backups, monitoring, access control).
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, managing tenants, users, groups, email, shared drives and permissions.
- Design and implement file, data and compute sharing across teams with proper access controls and audit trails.
- Manage software licensing, SaaS subscriptions and allocation of AI and engineering tools.
- Maintain an IT asset inventory covering laptops, workstations, servers, printers, networking gear and peripherals.
- Oversee office networking (LAN/Wi‑Fi, firewall, VPN, remote access) and shared devices.
- Onboard and offboard employees, provisioning and revoking accounts and devices promptly.
- Implement security basics: endpoint protection, MFA, password policies, device encryption, backup and recovery.
- Provide primary IT support, troubleshoot issues and coordinate with vendors.
- Document systems, runbooks, policies and advise leadership on tooling, cost and scaling.
Required profile
- 5+ years experience as a Systems or IT Administrator with a focus on building infrastructure.
- Hands‑on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
- Proven ability to set up and manage on‑premise Windows Server and/or Linux environments.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, VPN).
- Experience managing software licenses, SaaS subscriptions and IT asset inventories.
- Solid troubleshooting skills across hardware, operating systems, networks and peripherals.
- Working knowledge of IT security practices including MFA, endpoint protection, encryption and backup/recovery.
- Clear written communication and ability to document processes.
- Self‑motivated, able to work independently in a fast‑moving small team.
