System Test Automation Engineer (Automotive)

About the role

We are looking for a System Test Automation Engineer to join Bosch’s automotive software team in Bangalore. The role focuses on designing, developing and executing automated and manual tests for automotive systems, ensuring high quality throughout the development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and AI‑driven test tools.
• Implement and manage continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins).
• Review system and software requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios.
• Execute system and software tests in HiL/SiL environments.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, assess impact and support root‑cause analysis.
• Prepare and maintain clear test reports and documentation.
• Collaborate with requirements engineers and development teams to ensure test coverage and quality.
• Participate in requirement, design and test reviews, providing quality and risk‑based inputs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation, Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of overall experience, with 3–8 years in system and software testing in the automotive domain.
• Strong analytical, debugging and problem‑solving abilities.
• Self‑driven, quick learner with strong ownership and effective communication skills.
• Proven ability to work with global stakeholders in fast‑paced environments.

Required skills

• Python (minimum 3 years of experience)
• HiL and SiL test frameworks (manual and automated)
• Diagnostics, CAN, CAN FD and LIN protocols
• Vector tools such as CANoe and CANalyzer
• CI/CD pipelines, especially Jenkins
• AI‑based testing tools (e.g., Copilot)
• Test strategy design and test automation framework development
