Structural Engineer – SCLA Concessions

About the role

Airbus India is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join the SCLA Concessions team in Bangalore. The role focuses on static and F&DT analysis of aircraft structures, ensuring compliance with Airbus methods, processes, and certification requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Perform static and F&DT analysis to evaluate the structural impact of non‑conformities, repairs, reworks, and modifications.
• Maintain Technical Signature Delegation for concessions on primary and secondary aircraft structures.
• Review, approve, or pre‑approve stress justification reports for aircraft concessions.
• Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality and other Airbus departments to develop optimal solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to peers and support the development of stress engineers.
• Develop and maintain component and aircraft familiarity to respond promptly to production needs.

Required profile

• 7‑14 years of experience in static stress analysis of aircraft structures.
• Proven ability to work in high‑pressure environments and make rapid decisions.
• Strong communication, negotiation and teamwork skills.
• Customer‑mindset with a solution‑oriented approach.
• Willingness to develop and maintain Technical Signature Delegation.

Required skills

• Static stress analysis of aircraft structures.
• Finite Element Methods (FEM/FEA).
• Proficiency with ISAMI, GFEM and DFEM tools.
• Understanding of F&DT concepts and certification requirements.
• Knowledge of structural design principles, aircraft loads and material behavior.
