Steward / Captain – On‑site Service Role in Pune

About the role

Mirah Hospitality is seeking a dedicated Steward / Captain to join its on‑site team in Pune. This full‑time position involves greeting guests, presenting menus, taking orders and ensuring seamless coordination between the dining area, kitchen and bar to deliver high‑quality food and beverage service.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and seat guests, manage reservations and seating plans.
• Present menus, take orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
• Oversee table settings, maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the service area.
• Handle guest queries, concerns and billing procedures.
• Guide and mentor junior team members, participate in training sessions.
• Support smooth operations during peak hours and special events.

Required profile

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of food & beverage operations and service etiquette.
• Experience in steward, captain or front‑of‑house roles, preferably in restaurants, cafés, lounges or hotels.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays in a fast‑paced environment.
• Attention to hygiene, safety and grooming standards.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training is a plus.

Required skills

• Basic POS system operation.
• Billing software familiarity.
• Reservation system usage.
