Staff Nurse – ER, Labour Room, OT & NICU

About the role

The Staff Nurse provides high‑quality nursing care across the Emergency Room, Labour Room, Operation Theatre and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. You will assess patients, administer treatments, assist medical teams and ensure strict adherence to safety and infection‑control standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients in ER, LR, OT and NICU.
• Monitor and record vital signs, clinical condition and medication administration.
• Assist physicians during examinations, surgeries, deliveries and emergency procedures.
• Prepare, sterilise and maintain medical equipment and supplies.
• Maintain accurate patient records, nursing notes and departmental documentation.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and post‑care instructions.
• Participate in emergency response, resuscitation and critical‑care management.
• Uphold patient confidentiality and comply with hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• B.Sc. Nursing or General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) qualification.
• Valid registration with the Nursing Council.
• Relevant experience in ER, Labour Room, OT or NICU (preferred).
• Certification in BLS, ACLS or NRP (advantageous).
• Ability to work rotational shifts, weekends and holidays.
• Commitment to patient‑centered care and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification.
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
• IV therapy and medication administration.
