Housekeeping Executive

About the role

The Housekeeping Executive is a full‑time, on‑site position responsible for overseeing daily housekeeping operations within KIMS Hospitals, Thane. The role ensures a safe, hygienic, and comfortable environment for patients, visitors, and staff while supporting the hospital’s commitment to high‑quality care.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping staff and ensure cleanliness of patient rooms, corridors, restrooms, and common areas.
• Monitor adherence to infection‑control and safety protocols throughout the facility.
• Coordinate laundry services, handling hospital linens and ensuring proper washing and sterilisation.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, maintaining accurate stock levels.
• Maintain housekeeping schedules and address patient or visitor concerns related to cleanliness.
• Collaborate with nursing and administrative teams to align cleaning standards with clinical needs.
• Support training of staff on standard operating procedures, quality standards, and safety measures.

Required profile

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage operations, schedules, and inventories.
• Effective communication and customer‑service skills for interacting with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Experience in laundry management, including handling hospital linens and sterilisation processes.
• Ability to train and guide housekeeping staff on cleaning standards, infection control, and safety procedures.
• Prior supervision experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of hygiene, sanitation, and infection‑control practices relevant to healthcare facilities.
• Willingness to work in shifts, handle emergencies, and adapt to a fast‑paced environment.
• Minimum qualification: degree or diploma; a certificate or diploma in hospitality, housekeeping, or facility management is an advantage.
