Specialist Solutions Architect - AI/ML

About the role

As an AI/ML Specialist Solutions Architect you will be the trusted technical ML & AI expert for Databricks customers and the Field Engineering organization. Based in Bengaluru, this hybrid role involves guiding customers to build production‑grade ML and AI applications on the Databricks platform.

Key responsibilities

• Architect production‑level ML & AI workloads on Databricks, including pipelines, training/inference optimization, MLOps, and integration with cloud services.
• Serve as a trusted practitioner for enterprise GenAI solutions such as RAG architectures, agentic systems, natural language querying, AI evaluation and observability.
• Build, scale, and optimize customer AI workloads and apply best‑in‑class MLOps across domains.
• Provide advanced technical support to Solution Architects during technical sales and collaborate with product and engineering teams to influence the roadmap.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on industry ML experience as an ML Engineer or AI Engineer, including production‑grade cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP) or LLM/agentic systems.
• Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, etc.) or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Preferred 2+ years of customer‑facing experience in pre‑sales or post‑sales roles.
