Sourcing Manager – Aluminium Scrap (East Region)

About the role

The Sourcing Manager for the East region will be the front‑line representative of Hindalco in the aluminium scrap market. You will develop and manage relationships with vendors and customers, ensuring a reliable supply of scrap to our yards and downstream plants.

Key responsibilities

• Source aluminium scrap from aggregators, traders, and industrial customers across the East region.
• Develop innovative circular solutions and close‑loop recycling options for customers.
• Negotiate contracts, payment terms, and quality specifications with vendors.
• Ensure safe practices in scrap loading, transit, and unloading.
• Maintain compliance with GST, EPR norms, and hazardous‑waste regulations.
• Monitor scrap quality, mix, and inventory to maximise recovery and minimise cost.
• Support yards and plants in selling by‑products such as plastics and copper.
• Provide timely observations on safety and sustainability to logistics partners and plants.

Required profile

• Experience in scrap sourcing, procurement, or vendor management within the recycling or metals industry.
• Knowledge of Indian GST, EPR regulations and hazardous‑waste handling.
• Strong negotiation and contract‑management skills.
• Ability to develop circular‑economy solutions for customers.
