Solution Architect – Life Sciences (Chemistry Solutions)

About the role

As a Solution Architect for the Life Sciences domain, you will define and evolve the technical roadmap for Reaxys and the broader Chemistry Solutions portfolio. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, customers, and product stakeholders to embed AI‑enabled, cloud‑native capabilities into chemistry research platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Own the Chemistry Domain architecture, defining strategy and roadmap aligned with business goals and enterprise standards.
• Partner with the Lead Architect and other domain architects to provide consultancy, leadership, and clear communication.
• Drive AI and data innovation by guiding the responsible use of generative AI, large language models, machine learning, and knowledge‑graph technologies.
• Provide design and architecture governance, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, maintainable, and cost‑effective.
• Monitor domain health, track technical debt, and propose actions to mitigate risks.
• Research emerging technologies and assess industry advancements to shape next‑generation chemistry solutions.
• Embed security and data‑governance practices to address enterprise security requirements.
• Lead cross‑functional troubleshooting efforts for complex technical issues.

Required profile

• Proven experience in solution architecture within life sciences, chemistry, or related data domains.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML, generative AI, large language models, and knowledge‑graph technologies.
• Experience with cloud‑native data platforms and enterprise‑scale architecture.
• Solid knowledge of information‑security and data‑governance best practices.
• Ability to lead and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
