Software System Designer for ESC Control Unit of Pneumatic Braking

About the role

Bosch Global Software Technologies is seeking an experienced Software System Designer to develop and validate ESC control units for pneumatic braking systems in commercial vehicles. You will work on cutting‑edge brake ECU functions, from concept through production release, within a global, cross‑functional team.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and validate braking control algorithms (ABS, EBS, ESC, TCS, HSA, RSC, brake blending) using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Perform requirements engineering, feature allocation and traceability across system and software domains.
• Support system validation activities including HIL, SIL, MIL testing and vehicle testing.
• Analyze vehicle dynamics, braking performance, diagnostic concepts and fail‑safe strategies.
• Collaborate with global teams, customers and suppliers on technical reviews and project deliveries.
• Prepare and review technical documentation and safety work products in line with automotive standards.

Required profile

• 6–8 years of automotive system engineering experience, preferably with commercial vehicle pneumatic braking or ESC/EBS control units.
• Strong hands‑on experience with model‑based development and auto‑code generation.
• Solid understanding of functional safety (ISO 26262) and safety analysis.
• Proven ability to work in cross‑functional, globally distributed teams.
