Software Engineer – .NET Desktop Development

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to design, develop and test integrated software (firmware) that runs on hardware devices controlling real‑time functions such as motors, valves and fans. The role works in an Agile environment and collaborates with global internal customers to deliver reliable desktop applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop modules or full components using C#/.NET, WPF or WinForms.
• Maintain and enhance legacy desktop applications while leading multiple product streams.
• Produce clear documentation for developers and end‑users.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand user stories and ensure integration across the product suite.
• Follow standard operational procedures and quality checks under direct supervision.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a STEM discipline.
• 2‑5 years of professional software development experience, preferably with desktop .NET applications.
• Strong understanding of n‑tier architecture and object‑oriented design principles.
• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Continuous integration, software security, scalability and refactoring.
• Multithreaded and asynchronous programming.
• Experience with industrial protocols such as MODBUS, Profibus, Profinet, FF, CAN and Ethernet.
