Software Engineer – Loyalty Platform

About the role

Marriott Tech Accelerator is seeking a passionate Software Engineer to join its Loyalty Engineering team. You will help build the next generation of the Loyalty Platform, collaborating with senior engineers to design, develop, and debug innovative solutions. The role involves troubleshooting, on‑call support, and delivering incremental value across multiple products.

Key responsibilities

• Perform complex quantitative and qualitative analyses for service delivery and projects.
• Collaborate with Senior Software Engineers, Operations, and Infrastructure teams for deployment and production support.
• Follow IT governance standards, contribute improvements, and maintain a balance between business and operational risk.
• Adhere to project management processes and support agile development cycles.

Required profile

• 3+ years of software development experience with expertise in multiple programming languages.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience with application development tools, preferably Java/JEE, relational/NoSQL databases, and microservices.
• Proven ability to lead cloud‑native application development using Java, SpringBoot WebFlux, CouchBase or PostgreSQL.
• Experience in requirement analysis, high‑level solution design, API specification, and working in an agile environment.
