Software Engineer II – Business Intelligence

About the role

This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-growing software engineering team building impactful healthcare technology. You will work on Cohere Health’s business intelligence platform using a modern full-stack stack.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical design and architecture for complex BI features and cloud-based data services.
• Own end-to-end feature releases, platform enhancements, and system optimization initiatives.
• Architect and implement scalable APIs, ETL pipelines, and interactive dashboards for data visualization.
• Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and comprehensive test strategies.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and collaborate with product, data science, and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of software development experience with a strong ownership mentality.
• Proven ability to lead technical initiatives from conception through delivery.
• Experience breaking down complex problems and communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Collaborative leader comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django)
• React, TypeScript/JavaScript
• AWS services (Athena, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudWatch)
• SQL and query optimization for large datasets
• NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB)
