Software Engineer – C++ and Python

About the role

We are looking for a Software Development Engineer with strong expertise in modern C++ and Python to design and evolve scalable application frameworks and reusable software components. The role focuses on the core framework layer, delivering robust, high-performance code that enables product teams to build quality applications efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and evolve scalable application frameworks, reusable libraries and common components using modern C++.
• Build well-defined, stable APIs and maintain backward compatibility while applying object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
• Design efficient algorithms and data structures to optimise performance, memory usage, scalability and reliability for large data sets.
• Collaborate with product and application teams to translate requirements into reusable framework capabilities.
• Own quality across the development lifecycle, contributing to requirements, design, implementation, testing, debugging, documentation and delivery.
• Develop and maintain unit, integration and regression tests to ensure framework stability and long-term reliability.
• Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, promote engineering best practices and support Agile development processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience, preferably developing core libraries, frameworks or reusable components.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for writing clean, maintainable, high-performance code.
