Software Engineer – Backend Data & API Development

About the role

Airbus India is looking for a Backend Data and API Developer to join the Skywise Software Factory within the Digital department in Bangalore. You will work in a high‑energy squad, delivering data transformation services and APIs that support flight‑operation solutions for airlines worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, code, test, document and debug backend components using C# and SQL.
• Implement data pipelines and expose data through RESTful APIs on AWS managed services.
• Write unit tests and support test‑automation efforts.
• Participate in story estimation, code reviews, and design reviews.
• Collaborate with the squad to deliver high‑quality software following CI/CD and SAFe practices.
• Provide L3 support for rapid issue resolution and occasional travel to Europe.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 3–7 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Strong problem‑solving attitude and ability to work in an agile, squad‑based environment.
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
