Group Manager – Software Engineering (DevSecOps)

About the role

Airbus India is seeking a Group Manager to lead its Software Engineering – DevSecOps team in Bangalore. The role combines hands‑on technical expertise with people and project management to drive the company’s digital transformation and delivery of secure, scalable software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary DevSecOps team, setting goals, monitoring performance and fostering continuous improvement.
• Oversee the design, implementation and automation of CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms, containerization and platform engineering initiatives.
• Collaborate with global Airbus teams to align technical strategy with business objectives and ensure SLA compliance.
• Manage budgeting, staffing, recruitment and employee development in partnership with HR.
• Drive escalation handling, operational issue resolution and adoption of agile practices across the team.

Required profile

• 15+ years of experience in software development and people management.
• Proven track record in product software development and DevOps/DevSecOps transformation.
• Strong leadership, strategic planning and stakeholder communication skills.
• Experience working in an agile environment and managing large‑scale, globally distributed projects.
