Software Development Engineer (SDE-1) – Contract

About the role

Cross Border Tech, an Amazon team, is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer (SDE‑1) on a contract basis. You will help build and evolve a global platform that enables local language, currency, and payment experiences for customers shopping across borders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement scalable software solutions for cross‑border commerce.
• Develop, operate, and continuously improve the platform’s build, testing, and deployment pipelines.
• Stabilize day‑to‑day operations and ensure compliance with Amazon’s security and software standards.
• Solve complex, ambiguous problems using data‑driven approaches.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to deliver new features quickly and reliably.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• Experience programming in at least one language.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent (preferred).
• Ability to work on large‑scale, distributed systems and handle ambiguous requirements.
