Software Development Engineer - Backend

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Software Development Engineer to design, develop and deliver high-quality, secure and performant applications for our AI-powered supply-management platform. You will work closely with frontend engineers and product teams to translate requirements into robust server-side solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop high-quality backend applications using Node.js.
• Participate in sprint planning, task estimation and user story creation.
• Design and implement testable, scalable code and write unit and integration tests.
• Integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
• Maintain source code in GitLab/GitHub and ensure accurate version control.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to deliver end-to-end features.
• Estimate effort and deliver tasks on schedule.
• Contribute to process improvements for efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field from a reputable university.
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Node.js and modern web stacks.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and complex SQL queries.
• Familiarity with source-control systems (Git).
• Understanding of security best practices and deployment on AWS.
