Social Media & SEO Manager

About the role

Micron School ERP, an EdTech company making school management software, is looking for a creative and data-driven Social Media & SEO Manager to build its online presence from the ground up. The role owns the content strategy, grows organic reach and makes sure schools across India discover the company before its competitors. It is a high-ownership position in Mohali, Punjab.

Key responsibilities

• Social media: plan, create and schedule content on LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube, targeting school principals, directors and administrators
• Create creatives with Canva or similar tools and manage comments, DMs and community engagement
• Run and monitor paid ad campaigns (Meta Ads, LinkedIn Ads) and track reach, engagement and follower growth, reporting weekly
• SEO and content: keyword research, write or oversee SEO-optimised blog posts, landing pages and website content, and optimise on-page SEO
• Build backlinks through outreach, directories and partnerships, and improve local SEO so schools in Punjab find the company on Google first
• Monitor rankings with tools such as Google Search Console, Ahrefs or Semrush, and develop a monthly content calendar aligned with school calendar events
• Track website traffic, keyword rankings and social growth, and share clear monthly reports

Required profile

• 1-3 years of experience in social media management and/or SEO
• Fluent English, written and spoken (mandatory); Punjabi or Hindi fluency is a strong advantage
• Self-starter able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Prior experience in EdTech, SaaS or B2B content is a strong plus

Required skills

• Canva, Google Analytics and Google Search Console
• Basic understanding of Meta Business Suite
• SEO tools such as Ahrefs, Semrush or Ubersuggest (even free versions)
• Bonus: video editing for Reels / YouTube Shorts, Google Ads, WordPress or basic website editing
