Site In‑Charge – Mining Equipment Services

About the role

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is seeking a dynamic Site In‑Charge to lead the execution of machinery service contracts at the Banwas mining site. The role combines technical oversight of underground equipment with people and customer management to ensure high reliability and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day execution of the agreed machinery service contract, ensuring compliance with KPIs and SLAs.
• Coordinate with mine operations, maintenance, planning, and safety departments.
• Oversee preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of underground mining equipment, planning major overhauls and component replacements.
• Lead and supervise service engineers, technicians and support staff, allocating manpower based on priorities.
• Ensure strict adherence to mine safety regulations, conduct risk assessments and promote a strong safety culture.
• Act as the primary client contact on‑site, addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
• Control maintenance costs, manage shift schedules, and prepare regular performance reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in technical support for heavy‑industry equipment, site management and customer interaction.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a mining environment.
• Strong analytical skills for root‑cause analysis and equipment reliability improvement.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in a relevant engineering discipline.
