Shift Maintenance Officer – Mechanical (RMT)

About the role

The Mechanical Engineer will supervise shift‑based technical interventions, drive preventive and predictive maintenance, and support automation projects to ensure optimal performance of production equipment in a fast‑moving consumer goods environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and refine maintenance policies in collaboration with the Maintenance Technique Responsible.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues on automated lines and perform corrective actions.
• Implement preventive, predictive and condition‑based maintenance programmes.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory and ensure availability for interventions.
• Adopt Smart Factory tools such as SAPPM, Mobile Maintenance and Digital SIM.
• Update and archive machinery documentation, ISO records and operation manuals.
• Lead a team of technicians during shifts, ensuring safety, GMP compliance and KPI achievement.
• Participate in root‑cause analysis of breakdowns and drive continuous‑improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 4–7 years of experience in maintenance, preferably within FMCG or food manufacturing.
• Proven ability to work in shift environments and lead technical teams.

Required skills

• Mechanical systems, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Electrical circuits, sensors and actuators.
• PLC/HMI programming (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider).
• Robotics integration.
• Smart‑factory maintenance tools (SAPPM, Mobile Maintenance, Digital SIM).
• Predictive and preventive maintenance methodologies.
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) compliance.
