SharePoint Architect – Enterprise DMS

About the role

Sonata Software is seeking a senior SharePoint Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise‑wide document management solutions on SharePoint Online and Microsoft 365. The role will focus on building scalable information architectures, governance frameworks, and custom integrations across Azure services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement SharePoint architecture, information taxonomy, content types, and metadata management for large‑scale DMS deployments.
• Define document lifecycle, versioning, retention, and governance policies.
• Develop SPFx web parts and extensions using React, including solutions embedded in Microsoft Teams.
• Build API layers with Azure Functions, App Services and REST APIs, and manage secure integrations via Azure API Management.
• Integrate SharePoint with Azure Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, Logic Apps, Event Grid, and Service Bus for metadata persistence and workflow automation.
• Optimize performance of extensive SharePoint repositories and Graph API interactions.
• Establish governance, security, provisioning, and content standards, and conduct architecture reviews.
• Mentor technical teams and communicate solutions to business stakeholders.

Required profile

• 12‑18 years of experience with SharePoint Online/Microsoft 365 and enterprise DMS implementations.
• Deep expertise in SharePoint architecture, information architecture, taxonomy, and metadata management.
• Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Graph API, SPFx development (React), and Azure services (Functions, App Services, API Management, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage).
• Proven ability to design governance, security, and provisioning frameworks and lead solution design.
