Service Engineer – Mine Trucks

About the role

As a Service Engineer specializing in underground mine trucks, you will ensure optimal operation and maintenance of critical mining equipment. You will work directly on site, supporting safe and efficient truck performance that drives overall mine productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Uphold and enforce strict safety protocols in underground mining environments.
• Maintain comprehensive service records, maintenance history, and safety checks.
• Provide timely technical assistance to site teams and customers, fostering strong service relationships.
• Conduct regular inspections and diagnostics to monitor truck health and performance.
• Apply advanced troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis to resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Plan, execute, and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance on hydraulic systems, diesel engines, transmissions, axles, brakes, and powertrain components.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuous improvement of service processes.

Required profile

• 3 to 5 years of hands‑on experience with underground mine trucks.
• Degree or diploma in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems and Remote Control Systems (RCS).
• Proven ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic circuit diagrams.
