Research Assistant – Process Innovation

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Research Assistant (or Senior Research Assistant) to support the chemistry laboratory of the CreAgro division in Udaipur. The role focuses on ensuring the smooth operation of the lab by preparing chemicals, maintaining equipment, and coordinating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare standard solutions (e.g., brine, saturated inorganic salts, HCl) and solvents required for experiments.
• Produce and cut TLC staining reagents, plates, butter paper and filter paper for laboratory use.
• Manage consumables inventory (gloves, needles, syringes, pH paper, TLC plates, etc.) and coordinate with store for replenishment.
• Maintain cleanliness of work‑stations, balance areas, yellow cabinets, and solvent cupboards.
• Assist scientists with hydrogenation experiments, including balloon filling and safety checks.
• Reserve daily solvents and chemicals through SAP and handle waste‑solvent documentation.
• Support maintenance team by updating instrument databases for AMC and other records.
• Conduct monthly Toolbox Talks for lab assistants and liaise with EHS, store, and facility teams as needed.

Required profile

• BSc or MSc in Organic or Analytical Chemistry.
• 0–2 years of hands‑on experience in a chemistry laboratory (preferred).
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with scientists and support staff.
