Service Associate

About the role

The Service Associate role at Villa Maya is a full‑time, on‑site position in an upscale gourmet restaurant. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a seamless dining experience that reflects the restaurant’s high hospitality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, escort them to their tables, and present menus.
• Explain menu items, specials, and answer guest inquiries courteously.
• Take orders accurately and relay them to kitchen and bar staff.
• Serve food and beverages, ensuring timely delivery and presentation.
• Set, clean, and reset tables according to brand standards.
• Handle basic billing processes, payments, and simple reconciliations.
• Support reservations, seating arrangements, and overall floor flow.
• Adhere to hygiene, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Assist with special events and maintain a polished, personalized service throughout.

Required profile

• Strong interpersonal and customer‑service orientation.
• Clear, confident communication skills for menu explanations.
• Basic analytical and finance awareness for handling bills.
• Previous restaurant or hospitality experience, preferably in fine‑dining or upscale settings.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Attention to detail, teamwork mindset, and a professional, polished demeanor.
• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or food‑service training is a plus.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of local languages is beneficial.
