Senior/Assistant Manager – International Sales

About the role

We are seeking a Senior/Assistant Manager – International Sales to drive growth in overseas markets, acquire new customers and manage existing accounts. The role focuses on developing sales strategies, expanding market presence and ensuring smooth order execution across the food, FMCG, agro and chemical sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute international sales strategies to meet revenue and volume targets.
• Identify and develop new international markets, distributors, importers, dealers, and B2B customers.
• Manage and strengthen relationships with existing overseas customers.
• Generate new business through market research, exhibitions, trade platforms, references, and networking.
• Handle the complete sales cycle from lead generation to negotiation, order confirmation, and execution.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, commercial terms, and contracts with international customers.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, Finance, and Documentation teams for smooth order execution.
• Monitor international market trends, competitor activities, pricing, and customer requirements.
• Develop country/region‑wise sales plans and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual international sales targets and prepare forecasts, MIS, and market reports.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in International Sales, Export Sales or International Business Development.
• Proven track record of developing new international markets and acquiring overseas customers.
• Strong B2B sales and distributor/importer/dealer management experience.
• Excellent commercial negotiation and customer relationship‑management skills.
• Good understanding of export business processes and documentation.
• MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing or International Business preferred and willingness to travel internationally.
