Senior Unit Manager – Payments – Merchant Acquiring

About the role

Bajaj Finance Ltd. is expanding its QR acquiring business and is looking for a Senior Unit Manager to build and lead the operation in a defined territory. You will be responsible for hiring, training and managing a field sales team, driving QR, SB and POS deployments, and growing merchant volume.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, train and motivate Field Operations Staff (FOS) and ensure high productivity.
• Acquire new merchants and drive QR, SB and POS/EDC deployments.
• Develop distribution channels and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers.
• Map FOS coverage, manage channel partners and ensure sales targets are met.
• Collaborate with partners on sales promotions and store activation activities.
• Maintain process rigor, controllership and visibility at points of sale.

Required profile

• Graduation or MBA with 2‑4 years of relevant experience.
• Prior exposure to payments, FMCG or telecom prepaid sales.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Hands‑on experience handling merchant relationships.
• High energy, self‑starter attitude and passion for field work.
