Senior Technical Sales Officer

About the role

The Senior Technical Sales Officer will lead revenue growth and demand generation across the assigned sales territory. This role combines strategic planning, field team leadership, and channel management to achieve budget targets and expand market presence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver monthly budget targets and maintain forecast accuracy above 80%.
• Generate demand through field marketing, demonstrations, and inventory liquidation.
• Lead, train, and coach a team of field officers, ensuring effective action planning and follow‑up.
• Manage channel relationships, set targets, conduct monthly business reviews, and onboard new BSAs.
• Monitor market outlook, competitor activity, and develop new product introductions (NPI) for growers and intermediaries.
• Allocate resources, establish new channels, and drive geographical expansion.
• Oversee stakeholder management, including sub‑dealers, value‑chain partners, and government officials.
• Track channel inventory, liquidation, and plan‑ogram compliance.
• Handle customer complaints and maintain relationships with key regional influencers.
• Ensure timely placement of field staff and collections to meet Days Sales Outstanding targets.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, preferably plant breeding or horticulture.
• 3‑4 years of relevant sales experience; an MBA in agriculture is a plus.
