Senior Technical Product Manager - Cloud Infrastructure

About the role

You will be the product manager responsible for strengthening and optimizing Appian's site infrastructure by delivering essential upgrades, resource efficiency, and scalable solutions. The role focuses on the cloud‑native persistence and messaging layer, overseeing backend subsystems such as S3 and Redis that power the internal data plane and core services.

Key responsibilities

• Prioritize, define, and drive infrastructure and managed‑services features on a strategic roadmap.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to shape product vision, incorporate customer feedback, and decide what to build and when.
• Lead technical discussions, design sessions, and architecture diagrams with engineers.
• Manage release and sprint backlogs through planning, grooming, execution, and review.
• Write detailed specifications and ensure they are reviewed by the team.
• Track adoption, usage, and impact of new features using metrics and analytics.
• Own features through documentation, go‑to‑market, bug prioritization, and usage analysis.

• Technical at heart with strong understanding of availability, scalability, resiliency, and security.
• Enthusiastic about cloud‑native architecture and modern infrastructure technologies.
• Strategic thinker who can prioritize, negotiate, and execute in a fast‑paced environment.
• Clear communicator able to translate complex technical benefits to diverse audiences.

Required skills

• AWS services: EC2, ElastiCache/Redis, S3, EBS, EFS, DynamoDB.
• Kubernetes.
