Senior System Administrator – Linux, Windows & VMware

About the role

Sonata Software is looking for a Senior IT Systems Administrator to join its modernisation engineering team. The role focuses on managing Red Hat Linux, Windows Server, and VMware environments to ensure high‑performance, secure infrastructure for global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Linux and Windows server systems.
• Provision, configure and support hardware and software infrastructure, including storage (SAN) and virtualization platforms.
• Manage Red Hat Satellite and Active Directory services.
• Lead technical research, drive innovation, and mentor junior team members.
• Own end‑to‑end project delivery and provide technical leadership across initiatives.

Required profile

• 8+ years of overall IT experience, with at least 5 years in a support/engineering role.
• Strong background in Red Hat Linux, Windows Server administration, and VMware virtualization.
• Relevant certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, RHCA, MCSE, VCP) are preferred.

Required skills

• Red Hat Linux and Red Hat Satellite.
• Windows Server 2016/2019+ and Active Directory.
• VMware vSphere, vCenter, ESX (v7.0+).
• SAN storage management in VMware environments.
• Linux system administration across multiple distributions.
