Senior Solutions Engineer (Mumbai)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer in Mumbai to support Couchbase’s growing user community and drive customer success. The role focuses on pre‑sales technical engagement, helping customers integrate Couchbase through application development.

Key responsibilities

• Consult with customers to understand challenges and map them to Couchbase solutions.
• Deliver technical workshops, demos, and PoC/pilot management.
• Collaborate with sales on account strategy and identify new opportunities.
• Present product value to technical and executive audiences.
• Provide feedback to product and engineering teams and create technical collateral.

Required profile

• 5+ years in a pre‑sales, customer‑facing or consulting role.
• 2+ years of software development experience.
• Familiarity with NoSQL or distributed high‑performance systems.
• Strong presentation skills for audiences from developers to C‑suite.
• Passion for solving technical customer challenges.

Required skills

• Programming in Java, Python, JavaScript.NET, C, or SQL.
• Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Designing solutions on major database platforms, including data modeling and query optimization.
• Knowledge of virtualization/containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) is a plus.
