Senior Software Engineer - Platform Tools

About the role

Bluevine is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join its Platform Tools team in Bengaluru. This hybrid position focuses on building backend services in Python while exploring AI/LLM integrations to automate data mapping and vendor integration tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop backend solutions using Python, identifying opportunities to embed AI and LLM tools for automation.
• Partner with stakeholders to analyze requirements, design scalable data services, and ensure successful implementation.
• Create unit tests and automated test suites, leveraging AI‑assisted testing tools to improve coverage.
• Architect robust, secure, and scalable systems for complex business needs and external data ingestion.
• Detect performance bottlenecks and deliver innovative fixes, including AI‑driven monitoring and anomaly detection.
• Promote a learning culture by sharing new AI techniques and engineering best practices.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on Python development experience.
• Demonstrated interest or experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into backend workflows.
• Proficiency with Django Rest Framework and asynchronous processing using Celery.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, containerizing with Docker, and deploying on AWS.
• Familiarity with Airflow, Sentry, and OpenSearch for data pipelines and observability.
• Commitment to Test‑Driven Development, Continuous Delivery, and agile methodologies.
• Expertise with Git and GitHub version control.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
