Senior Software Engineer (C#/.NET, AI & Cloud)

About the role

Publicis Groupe's Platform Services business unit, which builds and manages custom and PeopleCloud solutions, is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Bengaluru. The role combines strong software engineering fundamentals with AI-assisted ways of working, with accountability for engineering delivery and flexibility into business analysis, quality engineering, data and automation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, test, debug, deploy and maintain web, API, integration, batch and data-enabled applications using C#.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Work with architects and senior engineers on modular, observable, resilient, secure and scalable solutions on AWS, Azure or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Apply clean code, design patterns, peer reviews, unit testing, version control, Agile and CI/CD, and own quality, performance, reliability, security and technical debt.
• Use AI-assisted tools such as Amazon Q, Kiro or Microsoft Copilot for design, coding, refactoring, testing and documentation, with human review.
• Apply Generative AI and Agentic AI concepts, prototype with prompt engineering, RAG, tool use and orchestration, and follow responsible AI practices.
• Translate business outcomes into functional and technical requirements, document user journeys, acceptance criteria and data flows, and contribute to discovery, estimation and reviews.
• Define and run unit, integration, API, UI, regression, data and performance tests, build automated tests with Playwright, Selenium, Postman or ReadyAPI, and embed quality checks in CI/CD.
• Take end-to-end ownership of assigned outcomes, communicate progress and risks early, and mentor peers.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience delivering and supporting production-grade applications.
• Experience with complex initiatives using disciplined engineering, Agile, DevOps and quality practices.
• Ability to solve complex problems and manage multiple priorities with attention to detail.

Required skills

• C#/.NET and working proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript, with object-oriented principles and design patterns.
• REST APIs, JSON, MVC/Web API, React or Angular, HTML/CSS, and unit testing with NUnit or equivalent.
• SQL, relational database design and modelling; MySQL, Oracle, DynamoDB, Snowflake, Redshift or equivalent.
• Git, CI/CD, AWS or Azure, and QA automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Postman or ReadyAPI.
• Generative AI, Agentic AI, prompt engineering, RAG, LangChain, LangGraph, Amazon Bedrock or Azure AI.
• Desirable: cloud-native and serverless services, Unix/Linux, Bash/PowerShell scripting, n8n, Make, Zapier or low-code platforms.
