Senior Software Engineer - Backend / Full Stack

About the role

As a Senior Software Backend Engineer on the Service Monetization Team, you will help shape the future of our Service Monetization Platform. You will architect, build and optimize our subscriptions and payments platform that enables membership and powers revenue collection for Crunchyroll. Working with design, product, quality and data teams, you will solve complex challenges, optimize performance, and enhance user experience, directly contributing to the growth of the Crunchyroll fanbase.

Key responsibilities

• Architect, build and optimize the subscriptions and payments platform.
• Collaborate with design, product, quality and data teams to solve complex challenges.
• Optimize system performance and enhance user experience.
• Contribute to revenue growth and fanbase expansion.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience building robust backend services.
• Proficiency in Java, GoLang, Python, PHP, Typescript or Node.js.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as API Gateway, Lambda, EC2, RDS, ECS.
• Experience with databases like PostgresDB/MariaDB, DynamoDB/MongoDB.
• Operational excellence experience (on‑call rotations, incident management).
• Ability to thrive in an Agile, collaborative environment.
