Windows & VMware Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Windows & VMware Administrator to maintain and support our enterprise Windows Server environment and VMware vSphere infrastructure. The role ensures high availability, performance, and security compliance while providing on‑call support for critical incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and support Windows Server platforms, including patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
• Manage VMware vSphere components (ESXi hosts, vCenter), handling provisioning, configuration, capacity planning and lifecycle management.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot complex issues across compute, storage, networking and guest OS layers.
• Implement and validate backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Maintain Active Directory services, GPOs, DNS/DHCP and authentication troubleshooting.
• Support virtualization operations such as VM builds, templates, snapshots, resource allocation and HA/DRS configuration.
• Collaborate with security and operations teams to enforce hardening standards and audit requirements.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, runbooks and mentor junior administrators.
• Participate in on‑call rotation and lead incident/problem management activities.

Required profile

• Proven experience administering enterprise Windows Server environments.
• Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) and virtualization best practices.
• Experience with Active Directory, GPO management, DNS and DHCP.
• Ability to troubleshoot multi‑layer infrastructure issues and perform root‑cause analysis.
