Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Crunchyroll is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join its Center for Data & Insights (CDI) in India. You will partner with engineering, data, product and security teams to design, operate and improve cloud‑native data platforms that power consumer‑facing experiences. The role focuses on reliability, scalability, performance and security of critical services.

Key responsibilities

• Define and monitor SLIs, SLOs and error budgets to continuously improve platform reliability.
• Lead incident management, root‑cause analysis, post‑mortems and service ownership across teams.
• Build observability pipelines using monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting tools.
• Develop automation, self‑service and self‑healing mechanisms to reduce operational toil.
• Design scalable cloud‑native infrastructure on GCP and Kubernetes, ensuring cost‑efficiency.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and standardize deployment processes.
• Plan capacity, optimize performance and validate disaster‑recovery and business‑continuity strategies.
• Partner with SecOps to integrate security controls, manage vulnerabilities and support penetration‑testing activities.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in SRE, platform or infrastructure engineering.
• Strong background with Kubernetes and Google Cloud Platform at scale.
• Proven expertise in IaC, preferably Terraform.
• Solid Linux systems administration and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with incident management, capacity planning and SLO‑driven reliability.
